Potroast McCloud and Ron Swatty are hired to follow a man suspected of cheating on his spouse.

SYNOPSIS

In this pilot episode, Potroast McCloud and Ron Swatty are an amateur private eye team who have been hired by a woman to follow her cheating husband. Potroast and Ron are staking out the Husband’s house and plan to follow him around for the day. During the stakeout, Potroast received a call from his secretary Lisa Hayes. Lisa was checking on the progress of the case while at her Grandfather's funeral. After a semantically typical conversation about who is the sexiest of the Golden Girls and a heated debate over the greatness of Robocop 2, the duo followed the Husband to a restaurant where they met up with best friend and pro golfer, Dick Taylor. While keeping an eye on their target, Potroast and Ron brought Dick into the argument over the quality of Robocop 2. Once the Husband left, they followed him to Vileo’s Videos where the suspect rented an Awsum the Possum DVD. (Awsum the Possum is a fictional cartoon character) After more debating over Robocop 2, the gang followed the Husband to a Party/Costume store.

The trio find that the Husband was renting an Awsum the Possum costume and theorize that he may be setting up a kid’s birthday party. Potroast, Ron, and Dick followed the Husband to a unrecognized house where they found the Husband was greeted by a woman who was not his wife. As the trio staked out the location, Dick saw a strange light in the sky and left to investigate. Meanwhile, Potroast and Ron decided to break protocol and sneak around the house to try and catch the Husband cheating. After peering through the front windows and picking the back gate lock, Potroast and Ron stumbled onto something completely shocking. Inside the rear bedroom, the Husband was being spanked by a fully costumed Awsum the Possum while the cartoon character’s DVD played in the background. Dick appeared and was equally sickened by the spectacle. Once Ron snaped a few photos for the case, the gang departed in hopes of forgetting what they just saw.

Solid Ground is a comedy about the comings and goings of a group of friends living in the small town of Wellston Georgia. First, we have POTROAST MCCLOUD(Ryan McCarty), an intelligent Private Detective who always finds himself in some sort of trouble. RON SWATTY(James Fry) is his bookworm sidekick who likes to start the occasional trivial debate. DICK TAYLOR(Dez) is a Professional Golfer and good friend to the P.I duo. Finally we have LISA HAYES(Leslie Morales), the no nonsense Secretary and long time friend to Potroast.
